Grass is Always Greener

Over the past few weeks, a lot of advertising has been decorating the halls of the university that I work for promoting an initiative that our college is participating in. On of these posters states:

The Grass is Always Greener here in North-East Ohio

Let's hope so. This past weekend theFamily and I got together and planted our lawn. After two days of backbreaking work, including rotor tilling both the front and back yards which felt like trying to cut up the clay courts of Roland-Garros, I can only hope that we manage to produce green grassout of this:

Up All Night

DSC05321theWife and I have been very lucky when it comes to theKids sleeping through the night. I have been told that theBoys both did, and I can attest to theDaughter sleeping through the night ever since she was born. Even the first night in the hospital, she slept like a baby teenager. Deciding that theFamily was full, we figured we were done having to worry about babies keeping us up at night.

Did I introduce everyone to theDog?

Meet the Cats

theCats, who are very cool mind you, think they're so mafioso. Wait til theDog realizes he's already bigger than they are:

RIP BMG

In the past, bmgwebdesign has been down and appeared to be dead.  This time, it really is.  It's dead because I can not currently pay for the domain name.  At least not easily.  I switched hosting companies earlier this summer but the new company will not allow me to pay online for the domain, and I can't log in to the old hosting company to pay for it either.  But even though I put a lot of my time and effort over the years into bmgwebdesign, I say oh well.  Let me tell you why:
  1. Blogger.com: It’s free, and though it’s not as powerful as using WordPress or MT, if your blog is content driven than it’s definitely good enough, especially for the price.

  2. Flickr.com: All the pictures I want to share can be posted and hosted for free at my flickr page.

  3. Youtube.com: Not only have I found a free place for my pictures (see above) but I can now have my videos hosted for free as well, at my youtube page.  I can also embed my videos right here in my site, like so:

So, for now at least, you can find me posting here at themikeblogs.blogspot.com.
